ITALY
In the spring of 2008 I was lucky enough to spend some time in Florence Italy with my Dad & Bonnie. She was studying Italian for three months and renting an apartment in the heart of Florence (Firenze). The days were spent taking long walks down the cobblestone streets, me taking photos and my Dad secretly hiding in the background somehwere, eating lots of Café Gelato, drinking wine, eating pasta at our favorite restaurant Taverna Divina Commedia, talking and reading.
We also had the opportunity to visit the neighboring areas of Siena, San Gimignano and Tuscany where we were a part of a private lunch and tour of ancient grounds. On my last day there I decided it would be a crime if I didn’t hike-it to the top of the Duomo and I’m so glad I did, it was beautiful.
